The Short Version (Jax explains)

bestie, here's the deal: you type your failures into a box, we run them through an AI that tells you how bad they are, and we store the score. we don't sell your data. we don't want your data. we're just here to audit your aura.

1. Who We Are

LoseAura.com ("LoseAura", "we", "us") is an entertainment platform operated as a sole proprietorship / early-stage company. For privacy inquiries, contact us at: privacy@loseaura.com

2. What We Collect

Information You Submit

• Audit submissions: The text you enter into the Confessional input. This is stored in our database associated with a score and timestamp — not with your name or identity unless you choose to share it.
• Payment information:If you purchase Aura Recovery or merchandise, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs that data.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps. Standard server logs.
• Device data: Browser type, OS, screen resolution. Used to improve the experience.
• We do not use persistent advertising cookies. We do not run third-party ad trackers.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name (unless you give it to us)
• Your email (unless you contact us directly)
• Your location beyond approximate country (for fraud prevention on payments)
• Biometric data, health data, or anything considered sensitive under applicable AI safety laws

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. The Public Ledger

Submissions displayed in the History Ledger are anonymous by default— they show truncated input text, a score, and a timestamp. No username, no account, no identifying information is attached. If you don't want your submission in the ledger, you can request deletion (see Section 8).

6. Data Retention

• Audit submissions: Retained for 90 days, then automatically purged from the ledger. Aggregate score data may be retained indefinitely for the Global Aura Debt counter.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
• Server logs: 30-day rolling window.

7. Security

Your data is stored in Neon.tech's serverless Postgres infrastructure (encrypted at rest and in transit). API calls are made over HTTPS. We apply OpenAI's content moderation layer before storage. No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable precautions. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

• Request a copy of data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your submission data
• Object to processing

EU/EEA (GDPR): You have the right to data portability, rectification, erasure, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA):You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we don't sell data, but the right exists).

To exercise any of these rights: privacy@loseaura.com — we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

LoseAura is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We'll update this page if anything changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of LoseAura after changes constitutes acceptance.
